About the clinic

Dr. Bulloch, DAOM, LAc, CSMA established his medical practice with a twofold mission:

  • Provide excellent, comprehensive, integrated, alternative health care.
  • Empower patients with the knowledge and tools necessary to become active participants in the transformation and management of their health and wellbeing.

Because the body is a dynamic and complex organism comprising many interconnected and interdependent systems, resolving pain and achieving good health requires a holistic approach, which includes helping patients understand the root cause of their condition.

Often when people look for a ‘quick fix’, nothing really gets fixed, because the root cause was not addressed. With many medications having negative side effects, ‘quick fixes’ often result in further, more serious problems. In these cases, pain and illness become a recurring cycle, which never fully resolves.

The modalities and services provided by Dr. Bulloch work together in a synergistic fashion to achieve greater results.

Structural and postural problems can cause or contribute to chronic pain conditions, especially those affecting the neck, back, hips, and knees. Additionally, systemic inflammation, which can be from autoimmune conditions, unknown food intolerances, other allergies, poor diet, and/or chronic stress, can exacerbate pain levels. Other digestive issues such as malabsorption or leaky gut can leave you feeling fatigued and lacking in the physiological resources to repair damaged tissues and resolve inflammation. All of this can lead to increased and prolonged pain, which interrupts sleep, leaving you more tired and further lowering stress tolerance. A viscous cycle is created, and no one seems to be able to help, or you end up going to a bunch of different doctors who are only able to provide temporary, symptomatic relief. In a case like this, acupuncture can help relieve pain and calm the nervous system to help lower stress and anxiety. Postural training and therapeutic exercise can prevent further injury and help rehabilitate the initial injury. Herbs, supplements, and/or nutrition can help resolve inflammation and give your body the necessary resources to recover and heal. A simple mediation practice can be taught to assist the other treatments in lowering stress and improving sleep. The vicious cycle is broken, and you can finally heal and gain greater quality of life.Hide

“Medicine is a cultural reaction by humankind to what is perceived as an existential threat: the limitation of daily routines by illness, suffering, and the risk of early death. [It is a quest for existential self-determination]” ~ Paul Unshuld
